This is the moment to build out regional active transportation networks and make our streets safer for all users, and it will take stakeholders from all over the state to seize the opportunity. The Communications and Marketing Manager will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications and will be responsible for translating the organization’s work into easy-to-understand graphics, email communications, social media posts, web content, marketing collateral and more. Senior Planner Crash Data

DRCOG has secured grant funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)-funded 405c Traffic Records Program to hire a Regional Crash Data Consortium Coordinator. This is a limited-term, full-time, temporary position ending September 30, 2023, with the potential of an additional year if grant funding is renewed. This position will be responsible for performing a comprehensive needs assessment and inventory of current local government and other stakeholder crash data collection and use practices, drafting a formal document for stakeholders to pledge time and funding to a potential regional crash data consortium, and – if feasible – convening the crash data consortium for the DRCOG region. The primary goals of the consortium would be to inventory the needs of the region and work to solve common issues with data collection, processing, and analysis of crash data. The grant-funded work of this position ultimately needs to demonstrate whether a regional crash data consortium is technically viable and financially sustainable beyond the end of the 405c grant period.
