Cyclists, Educators, Organizers, and Artists dreaming of moving through spaces and places. We strive to move through these lands honoring the flora and fauna. Oriented towards mobility justice, community resilience, and joy.
As a new chapter with members rooted in San Diego and Los Angeles, we are excited to start this new journey and build on our knowledge collectivity. We invite all FTWN-B to step up and join us in this new journey.

SAN DIEGO CORE GROUP

Bethany Sparks
Bethany (she/her) is an educator, accessibility advocate and all around silly goose living and riding in San Diego – Kumeyaay land. She is passionate about the inherent radicalism of cycling and aspires to create an inclusive space for new and seasoned BIPOC and FTWNB cyclists. Bethany is currently in her lizard era and excited to soak up some sun on a nice rock with new friends.

Angelica Rocha
Angelica (she/her) is San Diego native and two wheel enthusiast. She’s a bike commuter and mobility advocate turned transportation plann-gineer. Connecting with people, sharing her love for the outdoors with others, micheladas, and maps are just a few of her favorite things.

Jane Iglesia
Jane (they/them) is a Filipino-American from San Diego, Kumeyaay land. They volunteer with Bikes del Pueblo and the City Heights Built Environment Team, and they are an advocate for safer cycling and pedestrian infrastructure. They ride their bike for the joy of feeling childlike whimsy, and want to help create a safe space for femmes and BIPOC to feel that same sense of being authentically themselves on a bike and outdoors.

J Ordaz
J (they/them) is a Latinx designer and community organizer based in San Diego, CA. Their practice is rooted in bringing people together & empowering marginalized communities to shape their neighborhoods. J is a long-time bike commuter turned bike cowboy. In their free time they like to go on long (oftentimes spontaneous) day rides along the water and spend time at the climbing gym.
SAN FERNANDO VALLEY CORE GROUP

Alejandra Jimenez Gonzalez
Ale (she/her) “Alecadabra” is an organizer, artist, circlekeeper, public transit advocate, and bike rider based in the San Fernando Valley. Her mission is to engage her community in the San Fernando Valley by providing community access to art/film and video resources, education, and equipment. She believes that through the arts we can heal from childhood trauma, and have agency over our narratives and what we deem as “our work”, and our art.

Fern Tenorio
Fern (they/them) Community Organizer, Educator and Artist from Glendale. They are the creative behind Estrella Press, a small risograph print house offering printing resources for local artists.

Gemma Jimenez Gonzalez
Gemma (she/they) Artist, Educator, and Community-Based Urban Planner. Her creative practice explores connections to the urban ecology, memories, and mobility.
