Our mission is to provide wheels, rims, and accessories that allow people to enjoy their bicycle to its fullest extent. To us, that means providing incredibly durable yet performance oriented equipment that can be customized to fit each individual’s ride style and taste. We manufacture aluminum bicycle rims here in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and we are looking for someone to join our team!
Employees are paid a competitive hourly wage with benefits, paid time off and holidays. We are here from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, and can be somewhat flexible with your work schedule. (Want to work 7am to 3:30pm Tuesday – Saturday? Sure! 6am to 5pm Monday-Thursday? OK!) We are hiring drill operators and manufacture production workers, though you may be asked to clean or decal rims, or help in the shipping department as well. The ideal candidate has good attention to detail, works well with others, and is easy going. Self-motivators do well in our environment. With less than 20 employees here at Velocity USA, we are a relatively small company and staff members are tasked with different things daily.
The drill operator, rim cleaning, and decal department work allows for you to listen to headphones while at work, so if you’ve been compiling a list of audio books and podcasts to listen to or wanting to pick up another language, this is your chance! Manufacture production jobs get dirty with aluminum shavings or grease and are monotonous. This is not the most glamorous position at Velocity USA, though some of our employees prefer it to other roles here.
WTF, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ persons are encouraged to apply. Bicycle knowledge and drill experience are not required. We can train you. Applicants must be 18+ years of age. We ask that you are able timely, that you are considerate of those around you, that you can lift 30lbs and that you are able to stand for up to 8 hours a day. Attention to detail, ability to complete repetitive tasks, and a good attitude will go a long way here.
