TICKET FAQ

HOW MUCH DO SUMMIT TICKETS COST?

There are two tickets available for purchase.

Summit Camping Ticket – $150

Summit Walled Tent – $225

Summit Yurt Ticket – $225

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN MY SUMMIT TICKET?

Summit Camping Ticket:

  • A summit camping Ticket provides you with a tent or car camping spot that has onsite access to all summit activities, Vernonia Springs trails and amenities, an ADA bathroom-shower building and porta potties at the WTF Bikexplorers Summit from Thursday evening to Sunday morning. Campers will need to bring their own tent (if using), sleeping pad and bag, pillow and towel.
  • Eight meals made to your dietary preferences.
    Thursday, August 15: Dinner. Friday, August 16: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Saturday, August 17: Breakfast Lunch, and Dinner. Sunday, August: 18: Breakfast
  • Unlimited access to a stacked schedule of sessions, workshops, and panels that focus on the bicycle as a vehicle for exploring justice and healing.
  • A limited edition WTF Bikexplorers swag bag with goodies galore.
  • The opportunity to connect, learn from, and ride with a community of women, trans and non-binary Bikexplorers in the beautiful forested setting of Northwest Oregon with great access to biking and hiking trails and winding rivers to swim in.



Summit Walled Tent Ticket:

  • A walled tent ticket provides you with a bed in a shared walled tent that has onsite A walled tent ticket provides you with a bed in a shared walled tent that has onsite access to all summit activities, Vernonia Springs trails and amenities, an ADA bathroom-shower building and porta potties at the WTF Bikexplorers Summit from Thursday evening to Sunday morning. Each walled tent sleeps 3 people with a queen bed (with linens included) and bunk bed (with two beds, no linens). We recommend everyone to bring a sleeping pad and bag, pillow, and towel. Each walled tent is equipped with lighting and power to recharge your phone or computer.

CAN I REQUEST TO STAY IN A WALLED TENT/YURT WITH A FRIEND OR TWO?

You can make a bunk-buddy request when you reserve your ticket. We will do our very best to accommodate everyone’s request.

WHAT ARE FOOD OPTIONS?

All Summit Tickets include eight meals from Thursday evening through Sunday morning. Coffee, water, carbonated drinks and some snacks will also be provided.

Meals will be prepared to your dietary preference. Indicate whether you are vegetarian, vegan, carnivore when you buy your ticket.

WHAT ARE LODGING OPTIONS?

There are three lodging options available on site during the Summit: campsite, walled tent or yurt. See Summit Lodging for specific details.

WHAT ARE TRAVEL OPTIONS?

You can get to Portland, Oregon by train, bus, plane, bike, or personal vehicle. See Summit Directions for more details.

There will be a group ride to the Summit from Portland, Oregon on Thursday August 15.

ARE THERE ANY RIDES HAPPENING BEFORE THE SUMMIT?

There will be a group ride to the Summit from Portland, Oregon on Thursday August 15. Stay tuned for additional pre-summit rides to be posted for our Grassroots Ride Series.

SHOULD I BRING A BIKE TO THE SUMMIT?

We recommend having a bike to participate in the break-out session rides, to explore the surrounding area, and to have the ability to transport yourself around Portland pre and post Summit. This being said, the summit is designed so that folks can enjoy the experience without having a bike at the summit. See Summit Schedule for more details.

Bike rentals are available from businesses in Portland and cruiser bikes are available to rent on site at Vernonia Springs, see Resources section on Directions page for more details.

WHERE CAN I SHIP MY BIKE TO FOR THE SUMMIT?

We have partnered up with Bike Flights to make shipping your bike easy. Follow this link to begin your shipment process.

There are many bike shops that will accept shipped bikes in Portland!Here is a list of our favorites. Summer is a busy time so we encourage you to call the shop ahead of time to set up a bike delivery and/or rebuild.

IF I CHOOSE TO BRING A BIKE, WHAT KIND OF BIKE SHOULD I BRING?

From Vernonia Springs you can access an endless network of quiet farm roads, bike paths, dirt and gravel forest roads and mountain bike trails. We will have rides for all skill levels and bike styles but recommend bringing a bike that can handle some dirt!

WILL I BE GOING BIKEPACKING?

Not during the summit. The rides taking place during the summit schedule will be 1-2 hour rides exploring the dirt roads and trails of the surrounding area.

Many people will be riding to the Summit from Portland, Oregon on Thursday August 15. Stay tuned for pre-summit bikepacking rides to be posted for our Grassroots Ride Series.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I BRING?

To cut down on waste, we ask everyone to please bring their own mug, plate/bowl, and fork/spork/spoon.

Comfortable clothing for biking, hiking, swimming, and sitting around the campfire. You will be spending the majority of your time outdoors northwestern Oregon in August which is generally warm during the day and cool at night. There’s always a chance of rain in Oregon, but chances are lower in the month of August.

If you are camping, you must bring all of your necessary equipment to camp (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, batteries and chargers, toiletries, etc.)

A notebook and pen/pencil to take notes during the Summit Sessions.

A welcoming attitude.

CAN I RENT A TENT?

You can rent a tent from the venue for $25. Reserve your tent when you register for the event.

CAN I RENT A BIKE?

You can rent electric bikes, comfort cruiser bikes or hybrid bikes directly from the venue. For more information visit: https://www.vernoniasprings.com/bike-rentals/

AGE/FAMILIES/PETS POLICY

You must be 18-years or older to attend the Summit.

We kindly request that pets stay at home.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Tickets are non-refundable but are transferable. Connect on the WTF Bikexplorers Facebook Page.

You must notify us of the ticket transfer via email at wtfbikexplorers@gmail.com.

ARE THERE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES?

Thanks to the SJ Brooks Scholarship Fund and our Scholarship Sponsors (Specialized Bicycles, Revelate Designs, SimWorks, Big Agnes, Sea To Summit, Ortlieb USA, Bedrock Sandals, Ride with GPS,) we were able to offer 5 WTFnB individuals financial scholarships to attend the summit and gear to help with their future bikexploring endeavors.
