Kaitlyn is the Conservation Coordinator and co-founder of the nonprofit, Bikepacking Roots where she strives to connect bikepackers to the landscape through which they travel. With a career as an outdoor educator and a passion for inspiring people through backcountry travel, she co-developed and 3x taught the first college-level bikepacking course, Geology through Bikepacking at Prescott College, co-authored the first how-to guide on bikepacking, The Bikepackers Guide, and has delivered bikepacking workshops and presentations across the West . Extensive international bikepacking trips and ultra-endurance racing has fueled and continues to inspire her enthusiasm for continuing to seek ways to connect people to places, and advocate for the conservation of the wild and sacred landscapes.
